Gabriel Alegria’s life’s work is called Afro-Peruvian Jazz Music. In exploring and introducing this genre to the world, Gabriel became obsessed with figuring out a solution to the eternal problem of the jazz, world and classical music industries: lack of large enough audiences to make projects financially viable over time. As a result, he developed a unique business model for his band The Afro-Peruvian Sextet. Through constant innovation, Gabriel has effectively developed a predictable, lucrative, and sustainable business model for the jazz, world and classical music industries. Gabriel has conquered the conundrum of the music industry by leveraging AI to exponentially increase the size of his real, paying audience. His signature project is called Tour Peru, where fans of the band pay a premium to accompany the group on tour in Peru for 10 days. Gabriel holds a Doctorate in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California and has toured and performed all over the world. Eight CD’s, one vinyl record, and one documentary film tell the story of his music.
